UPS would keep putting packages in the leasing office, even though they weren't supposed to do that. ![]() The absolute worst was the apartment I used to live at, I think the UPS drivers were often marking things "delivered" that weren't and they just hadn't had enough time to deliver them, but either way someone was lying to me there. My wife and I had to run an errand that day and got home and saw a big box on our porch and were like "oh shit is the TV here already?!"īoth of those were positive examples, but I've had plenty of negative ones too. Well the TV showed up the same day as everything else: early. On Prime Day this year my wife and I got a bunch of things, but we also got a TV, and it said the TV wouldn't be coming until the 20th-ish. ![]() Then a week later I get a notice saying the other one was delivered. The day of the one that was on time arrived, BOTH arrived. They were nice enough to even carry it all the way into my 8th floor apartment which I didn’t expect but was appreciated.Ī week or two I ordered two amiibos that just launched from Best Buy, it said one shipped on time, the other was "delayed". I parked in front of them, waited until they came back outside to the truck, showed the guy my Amazon app order and he said “Oh! I texted you but got no response! I’ll follow you back now.” I knew I would have to kiss that TV goodbye and say hello to a customer service nightmare OR, take a chance knowing it’s literally within 1000ft of my location so I got in my car, drove 2 blocks and saw them at the next apartment building delivering more packages. I called Amazon customer service and was basically telling them to QUICKLY connect me to logistics so I can contact the driver and of course that got me nowhere except the good ol’ runaround. But when I got there, the chat ended and no truck. They claim they had already stopped at my place and I wasn’t available (I was literally holding my phone waiting for the notification which he texted he was 3 mins away and I responded ok coming outside. Has anyone else had similar situations to this?Ĭlick to shrink.Lmao it was hilarious, the app shows the trucks GPS location and they were literally on the next block after leaving my apartment. So if so then I suppose UPS info was right from the start it just didn't need that little extra bit of info to muddy the waters. I think it might arrive tomorrow? But I don't think UPS delivers on Sundays unless for very specific circumstances. Like I said it's a stupid thing to get annoyed about but it just feels like I was hyping myself up only to realize it didn't actually mean what it said. the first part of the update then contradicts this by saying it's Out for Delivery. When something is "Loaded on Delivery Vehicle", it doesn't actually mean it's out on the road, it's just sitting in a car doing nothing. UPS still said Monday but with the latest update saying: ![]() Yesterday night it arrived in my State and then this morning at 6 AM it updated again, Amazon now said: "Out for delivery" since it arrived in my area. A day or so passes and Amazon is keeping that date but UPS says, Monday, the 19th. I ordered a TV from Amazon, it said it would arrive by Wednesday, the 21st. So this is such a stupid thing and I feel like it could have been avoided if the system was clearer.
